Blog Candy

It's that BG line I like to drool over, complete with brads and the Porcelain line which is lovely and a surprise.  Yum, Yum.  Paper therapy.

Also a big pile of K and Co accessories at My Corner of the Studio

Scrappy Thursday

First up is some random chaos.  Challenge was to use orange and yellow and some sort of office supply.  I used this weeks sketch from 52sketches for the bones.  I'm not in love with it, not even in like... but the Trike-a-thon was a very cool event and I am glad to have it in the scrapbook.  Some year I'll learn to take good pictures in a gym and then I'll make a decent LO out of gym pictures.

Next up is the scrapjazz.com card challenge.  A quote, at least one flower, and a peice of ribbon.  Check.  It's the birthday card for my sweet husband.  He likes the quote and plans to use it in training.
I did this one for a challenge by Sketch this.  It's for my sister who is expecting a baby girl any minute.  It is the announcement/invitation for her baby shower.
Last up is the scrappiest challenge.  I couldn't even tell you how I ended up surfing over to this blog, but I LOVE the sketches.

Mix it up challenge

What a fun sketch add to it inanimate objects and big long titles... not so easy, but lots of fun.  To get to Mix it up, go through the blogs I follow menu.  Good fun challenges there.

RAW and taking mirror pictures

I've been trying to learn RAW on the computer. Yes, it's in the camera but it doesn't make a bit of difference when I'm taking the picture... in the computer it's a new animal. In general I'm finding it frustrating and time consuming. But it has it's moments of brilliance. Pictures that would take forever or not be possible to fix in JPEG, so simple to fix. I'm going to keep working on it.

Nikon's free program is miserable, they want me to buy their $200 bigger, better program. It's like Nancy

I spent a great deal of time working on taking a self portrait in the mirror with the camera. 200 shots later I ended up with 4 I don't hate... but still not one that I am in love with. I will be trying this again, perhaps after I get my new lens.   I couldn't seem to get enough light indoors and moved my camera mirror outside.  I do like the clouds in the background of this shot.
